Robbinsville Police Communications Personnel can instantly disseminate critical information, to either one or all officers right to the patrol car, via a computer link.

 

UNITS MISSION AND RESPONSIBILITIES

        The Technical Services Unit of the Robbinsville Police Department is charged with maintaining the departments computer systems, so that information can be entered, stored, and retrieved at a moments notice .

        Just as the Patrol Division is the backbone of the Police Department, the Technical Services Unit is ultimately the Central Nervous System, providing vital information to all sections of the department, so that critical decisions can be made in providing the best public safety available to our citizens.

        The officers assigned to this section maintain both the hardware and software used by the officers and our civilian support personnel. 

        The Internet has now provided an opportunity for the Police Department to interact with its citizens. Allowing a service that was only imaginable to the COP (Constable On Patrol) of yesteryear. 

The Technical Services Unit has been charged with maintaining the departments WEB site.   "We Take a Byte Out of Crime"

 

         As technology changes, so must Law Enforcement. Our officers must be ready to thwart any criminal challenge faced via the Internet to our children and senior citizens.
